So, Nokia just launched their new 41 mega pixel camera phone. I can't wait to test this crap-tastic marketing ploy. Ladies and Gentlemen please don't be fooled by this mega pixel hype. Mega pixels have little to nothing to do with image quality, in fact in most cases more mega pixels will only hurt image quality by introducing more digital noise into the image. What affects image quality is two things, the sensor quality and the lens quality, neither of which is that great in camera phones. Camera phones can only produce microchip sized sensors which even the best of them will never compete with a DSLR camera or even a good point and shoot. Second the lens on a camera phone is only going to let in the most miniscule amount of light due to its size. This mega pixel thing is just a ploy to get people who know nothing about photography to spend money on a worthless product, buyer-beware!
